Grapheilm Graphene Hollow-fiber Ultrafiltration Membrane
TM
Grapheilm UF hollow fiber membrane uses PVDF as main membrane material and graphene as hydrophilic additive. This product is based on the latest graphene technology from The University of Manchester. The graphene UF membrane has significant improvements in pure water flux, anti-fouling properties and anti-oxidation property.

Hydrophilic Graphene
Organic UF membrane is widely used in water treatment projects due to its good performance and low cost. However, the main drawback of organic membrane is its relatively low anti-fouling property compared to inorganic membranes such as ceramic membranes. To deal with that, The University of Mancherster and Elon Water Treatment Technologies scientists studied together and developed the very first graphene product specifically used to increase the hydrophilicity organic UF membranes. Most importantly, the product is able to be manufactured in bulk.
Single-layer graphene product has hugh surface area on which we can plant large amout of hydrophilic groups like -COOH, -OH and -NH2. After introducing these groups to the surfaces, the grahene will become extreme hydrophilic. It is a perfect additive for manufacturing UF membrane since hydrophilicity is one of the most important property in terms of lowering membrane's operational energy consumption. At the same time, our unique treatment technology makes our graphene product very easy to be dissolved in membrane-manufacturing solution DMAC or NMP while not at all affecting exsiting processes. This the why graphene is the prefect choice for modifying UF membrane.
Trillions of hydrophilic groups on membrane surface and inside membrane pores.
